This is the one. The one non-stick pan you need. Silicone cool grip handle gives you sure and safe control. Beat one egg with 2 tsp of water. There is salt, there is pepper. On very low heat add 1 tbs butter. Gently slide egg to cover bottom of skillet. Down center sprinkle 1 tsp minced herbs and 2 tsp fine grated cheese. When the surface of the omelet has subtle liquidity, fold its edges to center. Slide onto plate.

Sabatier Signature series pans are wonderful. I had previously purchased the larger size and liked it so much, I purchased this size also. Nothing seems to stick to it and clean-up is so easy. The glass lid (I'm assuming it's not Pyrex--there were no claims that it was) survived the first few dinner preparations, but tonight the lid shattered after we cooked some fish stew. The hot lid was placed on the counter away from the saute, and, a few seconds later, it exploded with enough force to send small glass shards flying up to a foot away. Needless to say, the fish stew had to be thrown out--what a waste. But I'm glad nobody in the kitchen was hurt.



Due to the above safety issue, the product deserves a negative rating--but that's not possible, so I've given it an undeserving one star.



The body of the saute itself seems sturdily constructed. But with the auto-destruction of the lid, I have to wonder what other quality issues remain undiscovered.

I got these for Christmas last year and absolutely love them. They're comfortable, durable, and are excellent for cooking just about anything. DO NOT, however, use them in the dishwasher or use metal utensils with them, lest you scratch or otherwise mar them. (Of course this is a general rule you should follow with any quality item of cookware.) I found this site looking to see if they're oven-safe (I'm making yummy frittatas this morning), so we'll see if they are or not...

I ordered this for my parents as a Christmas gift solely because it said it was both nonstick and dishwasher safe. I just found out from them that the instructions that came with the cookware say DO NOT WASH in dishwasher because it will ruin anodized coating. These are not as advertised.
