"THIS BOOK IS ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!" 2009-12-18
By D. Martinez (USA)
This book is long winded and it is all over the place, it was hard to read and there are too many stories that are really hard to tie into real life experience. It was so hard to find the point in most of the sections. Nothing really tied in, Not a fan of Zig...

I do not remember the condition that the book was advertised but the condition of it when I was received it was not what i expected. The pages are yellow and the binding is bad. While reading it, I was afraid pages would start falling out.

"Good read but old tatics" 2009-04-13
By Ronald S. Bowen
Zig is good. I will admit he has the right attitude and plenty of good advice. He makes you feel pumped up after reading this book but this type of selling is dated. Customers are to educated and savvy. To much info out there with the internet. You can't sell benefits anymore and customers have to trust you. So, sorry to say, Zig Ziglar or anyone's closes do not work anymore. If you really want to learn to sell in this century, check out a book called "Sales Therapy" by Grant Leboff. It will change your life. Good luck out there.

"Excellent companion to "How I raised myself from failure to success in sales."" 2009-12-25
By R. Saling (Surprise, arizona United States)
I started a new job in sales and a co-worker purchased this book. I noticed he started seeing results within the week of reading it and applying the techniques. Our boss recommended we also get "How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Sales". It is also a great book that originated many of the sales concepts used today. I highly recommend both of these books. They complement each other well.

One concept is reduce things down to the ridiculous. For example: (I'm paraphrasing) a total price of $100; how much is that per day over a year? Is that worth it to you?

Great book - read it first in 1970's, again in the 1990's, and once more in 2009. I like it because it teaches 'How to Sell' with dignity.

"A great budget roasting pan!" 2010-02-05
By G. Cole (Columbia, MO)
I snagged this pan a week before Thanksgiving after searching at Target and other big stores. I needed something that included the roasting rack, as well as handles, but was non-stick and reasonably thick, as I didn't want a messy cleanup job, nor did I want the pan warping in the hot oven. I also wanted some sort of "lifters," that I could use to lift and turn the bird (or ham) if needed, that weren't flimsy, and would last over time.

When I received the product, it was boxed properly with no exterior damage, it wasn't in a fancy box or anything of that sort, simply a pan, the rack insert, and one set of 2 lifters. The pan was a good non-stick surface, as was the rack, and the rack sits down on these solid notches so it isn't in *direct* contact with the pan bottom--another plus, for me at least.

Turkey day came and the bird was prepped, along with the oven preheated, and this pan was put to its first use, and one and only test. It was my first oven bird, so it was a bit of a test for both of us.

To make a long review short, the pan, rack and lifters made Thanksgiving preparation so much easier, with a lot less cleanup than was expected! I originally gave the product 4 stars, but while writing the review, bumped it up to 5. I now remember that I didn't just use the pan for turkey--I've used it for a ham, as well as cornish hens. Cleanup is a breeze with the non-stick surface, and the lifters don't have to be used for just this pan. I've used the lifters while smoking meats outside, like pork loin and brisket (they're perfect for getting "under" meats easily, while not poking holes or potentially tearing the meat), without issue.

Overall, the pan is well worth the (what I think to be) small price tag. 5 stars!

Purchased as a gift for my mother-in-law. She only wishes the pan was a little deeper, but other than that everything is great.

 "Non-stick? I think not." 2009-12-23
By K. Cousins (United States)
I've had this pan for a few years, and have generally found it to be a serviceable roasting pan.

However, this year the non-stick interior coating (which has been babied - no aggressive scrubbing) has ceased its function. After an overnight soak and 30 minutes' scrubbing, we've decided to donate it to Goodwill and invest in something more durable.

 "Thanksgiving Turkey Was Great" 2009-12-21
By Linda A. Tommasulo (Ossining, NY United States)
This roasting pan was perfect for the fresh Thanksgiving turkey I prepared for my family. It was just the right size, and the lifters made handling the large bird easy. I would definitely recommend this item.

 "Size not as indicated" 2009-12-11
By E. Tanguay (Connecticut, USA)
Just received this pan. It looks great and feels like a high quality pan, especially for the price. I tried to ascertain the exact pan size from both Amazon customer service and KitchenAid customer service BEFORE ordering it. I was told by KitchenAid that it was 19" long. I measured the pan - it is only 15 1/2" long. I am very disappointed. Will most likely return it because it is too small.
